About BCUS Finance: Business Planning and Analysis
The Finance Business Planning and Analysis (BP&A) is a team within Finance that is in charge of supporting the MIS, Forecasting and Analysis Processes of Barclaycard US to drive strategy and business decisions based on sound financial analyses. In order to achieve these goals, the BP&A team works closely with the CEO and CFO as well with Senior Leaders across Barclays UK, Delaware and New York from several areas including Marketing, Strategic Analytics, Credit, Legal, Corporate and MIS Finance, Accounting among others.
Overall purpose of role
The Financial Reporting & Analysis Lead will provide key analytical support to the Bank’s Management Reporting Process. Key responsibilities include production of core financial reports supporting the review and analysis process ran by the BP&A team. This covers the Corporate P&L process, recurrent and ad-hoc reporting to Senior Management and Revenue reports and analysis. In addition, this individual will work with members of the Barclaycard Cluster Finance team in the UK as well as the IHC Finance team in NY and share responsibility for accurate and timely Parent Company reporting.
Monthly Financial Close support & analysis, including assisting with the creation of the monthly P&L reporting file, Barclaycard key value drivers & results data, and financial reporting within the BCUS CFO Hyperion ESSBASE environment
Monthly and ad-hoc Corporate and Revenues reporting including views for total BCUS as well as Segment levels
Assist with the creation of monthly segmented fully-loaded P&Ls, including Partnership, Branded, Consumer Lending and Business Card
Quarterly reporting support for Investor Relations
Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of the current reporting and analysis processes within Hyperion ESSBASE
High levels of attention to detail to ensure reporting is accurate, this will require problems solving skills to identify issues when the data is out of trend
Ability to work against tight month end deadlines and high levels of adaptability to deal with changes to timelines
Regular and effective communication with AVP/VP stakeholders to ensure processes and reports continue to meet changing business requirements
Risk and Control Objective

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
Very high proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Excel
Experience with Hyperion ESSBASE required
Very high attention to detail and sense of urgency required
Strong written and verbal communication skills required
Result oriented with the ability to bring closure to issues through working well with individuals and teams throughout the organization
Relevant experience with analytics in Bank Cards or related financial service industry; an understanding of a credit card P&L is a big plus for success in this role
Ability to handle variety of responsibilities, meet deadlines, and drive change in a matrix organization
